I am a writer, photographer and researcher. My travel articles and photography have appeared in British and Australian press. I have won prizes for parts of my memoir of growing up in a northern vicarage in the 1950s and 1960 and for my short stories, many of which have been published in anthologies. I am also a live storyteller and have read out my work on radio. I have worked on equality and social justice issues for much of my working life and am now researching child migration to East London linked to Queen Mary University of London and the V&A Museum of Childhood. I have lived in Hackney for over 30 years.
